How did you learn about GSC?
When I began enquiring about entering the Marist Seminary I was told about GSC as the place I would be doing my academic studies.
What were you doing before being a fulltime student?
I went to university in
Waikato and completed Bachelor of Management Studies. I then travelled
overseas and lived in Tokyo, London and Edinburgh, working mainly
in finance. I then spent a year in Wellington working for the Wellington
Regional Council. It was during that year that I discerned a call
to Marist religious life and the priesthood.
Why are you studying at GSC?
It is the place people who are training to be priests are required to study at.
What is your impression of the place?
- It has a magnificent library, which includes a wide range of journals and other publications.
- Helpful staff, and excellent lecturers
- Nice student common room (with free coffee and biscuits!!)
- I really like the size of the classes. Anywhere between 5 and 20 students allows an excellent class dynamic to grow.
Do you have any suggestions?
I think you need to be more aggressive in your advertising of GSC. It really is a great place to study and the more people we get here, the more people will deepen their faith, and have the tools to share that faith with others.
